Yesterday we had the pleasure and honor of participating in the meeting “The Enterprise Beyond the Entrepreneur,” hosted at Confindustria headquarters. It was an intense and insightful occasion that ignited a deep and real discussion on a topic that we feel is ours every day: the generational transition in business.
We brought our experience of Elmeco through the voices of Umberto and Alessandra Cortese. A tale made of transitions and continuity: from Salvatore Cortese, founder of the company, to Umberto, the first to pick up the baton, to Alessandra, who experienced a double generational transition-first with her father, then with her brother. Two different paths, two ways of facing the same challenge, but a single goal: to honor the past, innovate the present and build the future.
As Alessandra and Umberto recounted during their talk:
“For us, the generational transition was not a simple ‘changing of the guard,’ but a deep, human, emotionally complex process. Made up of confrontations, important decisions, personal and professional growth. But also an extraordinary opportunity to regenerate the company, opening space for new energy, fresh ideas and complementary visions.”
Sharing our history in such a rich context of experience, sensitivity and professionalism was a great value. We sincerely thank all the speakers who contributed to the reflection: former fencer Sandro Cuomo, Prof. Francesco Perillo, Prof. Bisiak, Young Entrepreneurs President Antonio Amato , Young Entrepreneurs Group referent Flavia De Maio , and of course our friend Amedeo Colella, who was able to make the moment even more alive and engaging with his unmistakable style. We firmly believe that building the future of a business means going beyond the figure of the individual entrepreneur, valuing the contribution of each person in the organization and turning the generational transition into a true Synergy between generations, skills and visions.
